About Mo Jungle Jami Yojana Odisha 2024
The Odisha government launched the Mo Jungle Jami Yojana, which gives the state’s scheduled tribes and forest dwellers fundamental rights. This proposal also goes by the moniker My Forest Land Scheme. Under this strategy, the state’s forest settlements and indigenous tribes will gain improved access to water, education, transportation, and healthcare facilities. As a result, the beneficiaries will have increased food security and means of subsistence. The goal of this plan is to facilitate the assimilation of indigenous populations into mainstream culture.
More than 7 lakh people living in the state will gain from the Odisha Mo Jangal Jami Yojana. Odisha would be the first state in the nation to provide access to forest community rights for both individuals and communities when the Mo Jungle Jami Scheme is implemented. In order to fulfill the basic rights of forest inhabitants and Scheduled Tribes, this program collaborates with FRA 2006 (Central Government Scheme).
Mo Jungle Jami Yojana was announced by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the International Day of the World Indigenous Peoples Day. The Chief Minister expressed hope that this initiative will represent a significant turning point in tribal development given everyone’s enthusiastic engagement. The program’s objective is to protect the rights of all qualified individuals and groups to make use of forest land. Furthermore, this plan will serve as the framework for all development projects, and steps will be taken to stabilize the way of life of indigenous peoples.
Revenue villages will be granted status to forest villages that have never been surveyed previously. The administration’s objective, according to the Chief Minister, is to enroll everyone who qualifies in this program. He asserted that steps are being taken to ensure that no eligible individual is overlooked. The program’s goal is to recognize the roles that tribe members have played in the continued exploitation of forest resources. He claims that it will also help to stabilize the economy, the ecology, and the way of life for the tribal people.
