On March 8, 2024, the Odisha government declared that 1.5 lakh members of the SHG executive and management committees and 70 lakh women members of SHGs would receive ₹2,000 apiece for blazers and ₹1,000 for uniforms, respectively. The Cabinet has approved financial assistance with a budgetary allocation of Rs 730 crore to provide uniforms for all 70 lakh SHG members in the state, as well as for over 1.5 lakh members of the Management Committees of Area Level Federations under urban local bodies, Block Level Federations, and District Level Federations, as well as the Executive Committees of Gram Panchayat Level Federations.
